The London Marathon
Supporting a Great Cause at the London Marathon
The London Marathon isn’t just a test of endurance; it’s a platform to make a difference. This year, Nick Phillips, brother of Mel Phillips from our Business Services Department, is taking on the challenge to raise funds for Give 4 B.E.T.H. This inspiring charity supports disabled children and their families, helping them achieve life-changing dreams through financial assistance and donations.
Running for Dreams: Nick’s Story and Training Journey
Mel Phillips is a manager within our Business Services Department. She has been with Lewis Brownlee for almost ten years since graduating from university.
Mel’s brother Nick is running the London Marathon on 26th April 2015. In doing so, he will be raising money for a small charity local to where they grew up. Give 4 B.E.T.H. is a registered charity that was set up 3 years ago with the ambition of giving belief, encouragement, time and happiness to help others fulfil their life-changing dreams. The charity has always been about helping local disabled children and their families to reach their dreams and goals. Nick is running alongside its founder, Richard Sherwell
Give 4 B.E.T.H. provides support to disabled children and their families, through financial assistance and donations, to help them achieve life-changing dreams. From life-altering operations to specialist equipment and home improvements, Give 4 B.E.T.H. as a charity wants to help change lives.
Nick has been in training for the marathon for the past 6 weeks, including over Christmas and in the snow! His target time to complete the event is around 3 hours and 45 minutes, for now at least…
