Bras, ladies and gentlemen… Bring us your bras!

Bras, ladies and gentlemen… Bring us your bras!

Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in the UK. It affects thousands of women each and every year. By extension, the amount of ‘people’ indirectly impacted is incalculable. We will all know of someone affected by cancer during our lifetimes. Subsequently, the knock-on effect is massive. That’s why here at Lewis Brownlee, we believe we all have a responsibility to be involved in the fight against cancer. We all owe it to ourselves and each other to be a part of the fight, offering whatever support we can, wherever we can. So, this year ladies and gentlemen, we are asking you to please bring us your bras! Any size. Any colour… any shape. There isn’t a bra we will deny – they are all welcome!

We understand this is probably not what you’d normally expect your accountant, tax specialist or business adviser to ask for. But then, we have our special brand of magic – and we invite you to be a part of it. You see, here at Lewis Brownlee we believe in making a difference that counts. We believe giving back should be demonstrable and something that actively encourages other people to get on board. That’s why we always try to make it fun for all involved. So, without much further ado, this year we are heading up Against Breast Cancer’s Bring us your Bra campaign!

Bring us your Bras!

We are honoured to be proud sponsors of the Bring Us your Bra campaign. The initiative, which supports Against Breast Cancer, helps to fund vital research while also helping small businesses in developing countries. We know that it’s important to support causes that make a difference in the lives of people. So, we are thrilled to be able to make a difference by making people aware of Against Breast Cancer’s work and supporting it in whatever way we can.

By sponsoring the V2 Radio Bring us your Bras campaign, we hope to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. We also want to encourage people to get involved and donate their bras to help support the cause. Every bra donated helps to raise funds and provides support to those affected by breast cancer.

Giving back…

Our company has always been committed to giving back to our communities. So, we believe this campaign is a great way to make a positive impact. We are actively encouraging all of our employees and partners to get involved. So, be warned, there isn’t anyone we won’t ask for a bra!

For every tonne of bras donated, Against Breast Cancer will receive £700!

So, please can we kindly urge everyone to get involved and bring us your bras to help support this worthy cause. Together, we can make a difference and help support those affected by breast cancer in the UK!

We have collection bins in all of our offices – so please feel free to organise a collection, rummage in your own drawers, or ask every bra-wielding person you know if we can have their bras! We need them by 26th March and would be forever grateful!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can give and here’s looking forward to the revealing how many bras we’ve collected on 31st March!

The Power of a Quest on Staff Morale!

The Power of a Quest on Staff Morale!

The Power of a Quest on Staff Morale!

At Lewis Brownlee, we’ve harnessed the power of our core values — Quality, Enthusiasm, Smart working, and Teamwork (QUEST) — to create a unique platform for innovation and growth: our Quest Sessions. These sessions are think tanks where staff from every level come together to share ideas. It’s where we suggest improvements, and learn from one another, embodying the essence of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Fostering a Culture of Appreciation

One standout moment from these sessions was a suggestion from a team member about giving staff their birthdays off. The idea was for the company to effectively celebrate with them. Recognising the importance of feeling valued and appreciated, we were thrilled to implement this idea! It’s the small gestures that often make a big difference. So, celebrating our staff’s special days is just one way we can show how much we value their contributions. This initiative not only enhanced our team’s morale but also underscored our commitment to acknowledging and celebrating each individual’s role in our success. It is a pleasure to see it implemented!

The Impact on Morale and Engagement

The Quest sessions have proven to be a cornerstone in promoting a positive work environment. They are also instrumental in bolstering high staff morale. By empowering our employees to voice their thoughts and ideas, we’ve fostered a culture where everyone feels heard, valued, and respected. This openness has led to numerous improvements in our operations and workplace atmosphere, making for a more fun, vibrant, energetic and driven workforce.

Why It Matters

In today’s competitive business landscape, maintaining high staff morale is not just important; it’s essential. It attracts top talent, boosts productivity, and promotes a positive brand image. By actively engaging with our staff and implementing their great ideas, we’re not only enhancing our workplace but also setting a benchmark for others in the industry.

Conclusion: A Call to Action for Businesses

So, why are we telling you about our internal Quest? Well, we have seen the amazing benefits initiatives like this have first hand. So, for us, it serves as an amazing example of how valuing staff input can transform a company’s culture and operational efficiency. Other businesses looking to boost morale and foster a culture of innovation and appreciation should consider adopting similar initiatives. After all, a happy team is the key to unlocking a company’s full potential and we couldn’t be more proud of what we are achieving here at Lewis Brownlee!
